Getting there: There are currently regular flights with major airlines to Johannesburg for which there are connections to Lilongwe. Flying time approximately 12 hours.

Time: GMT plus 2 hours

Try not to miss: Nykia Plateau. Negotiations are currently underway to renew the concession for the Malawi riding safaris.

Visas: UK passport holders do not currently require a visa for stays of less than 90 days.
