These Chyulu riding safaris are a luxury mobile horse safari based in the remote Chyulu hills of Southern Kenya.  The operation is based on Mbirikani Group Ranch, which is completely unfenced and covers 300,000 acres of land deemed unprotected wilderness by the Kenyan government.  In addition to the ranch, rides also venture off into the surrounding Amboseli Eco-system and the Chyulu Hills, giving Ride Kenya access to over 1.4 million acres of wilderness.  All of the riding country is set with Mount Kilimanjaro as the back drop.

The low country consists of semi-desert, rolling savannah plains. As you climb away from the plains, you go through acacia woodlands before reaching the Chyulu Hills.  The hills - which run for 40 miles - consist of a series of volcanic craters with the peaks covered in jungle-like mist forests unique to this area. Due to the lack of water in the hills, wildlife is more prolific in the low country where there are 38 recorded species of large mammals including all the big five - Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Leopard and Buffalo.

There is a selection of 20 well-schooled horses, which are used to the wildlife and terrain. Our tented camps offer luxury accommodation, with wrought iron double or twin beds, fine linen, en suite bathrooms, a central dining tent and a high standard of food and drinks. All of our mobile safaris are supported by a crew of grooms, chefs, waiters and general helpers to ensure maximum comfort for the guests.
